There were some ... issues with my last home shopping delivery, most notably a bottle of alcohol I'd ordered being put in a large plastic container (which is what's used to store your shopping in the van) along with just one other glass bottle. Unsurprisingly, with two bottles rattling along alone in one large container, one of them smashed, so the poor driver had to spend the day going around with a van stinking of whisky.
I'm pretty sure that when they get people doing the packing, they get to the point where they're either completely blasé and careless, or they quit (case in point: another driver who doesn't necessarily enjoy driving, but it beats working in the store). Also case in point: the person who thought it was a great idea to shove a pack of spuds on top of a living chive plant. Weirdly, also case in point, just to show it's not just home shopping where packers are morons, the time someone at Parcelforce decided my mother's wine order from Aldi got put underneath a LOT of heavy things, and promptly smashed. Another poor driver who got to drive around breathing fumes — worse for him, since the back of his van wasn't a separate entity. I suspect this is part of the reason they moved to Yodel. (Double shocker, I know, that someone could consider Yodel more effective than Parcelforce... but it's not the drivers that're the issue, it's the packers. Luckily for me, both Yodel and Parcelforce are — usually — great here.) So long (long) story short, I've just had my refund for it. Which is great because I just ordered a 4TB HD. This PC has so many large images and 3D files I've had to start deleting games, which is frankly just rude. Freeing up some space is desperately needed...
